The new Fox Transfer Neo has more travel, less stack, and claims to operate over 100 times faster than Bluetooth-equipped wireless dropper posts. Find everything you need to know here…
Building on the 2025 Fox Transfer that Logan reviewed, the new Fox Transfer Neo claims to be the fastest actuating wireless dropper on the market. Just 26 milliseconds from lever press to post movement, to be exact. To achieve this, Fox developed “Neo” instead of relying on Bluetooth communication between the lever and post, making it 100 times faster than Bluetooth and 20 times faster than the closest competitor.
Fox estimates that the Transfer Neo’s battery will last for 30-40 hours of ride time, depending on the frequency of the dropper post-actuation. The lever uses a readily available CR2032 battery and lasts approximately 12 months with regular use. Charge time for the Neo battery is approximately 1.25 hours to 1.5 hours using the included dock and USB-A to USB-C cable. The post is available in 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, 175mm, and 200mm drop options in 30.9mm and 31.6mm. The 34.9mm version comes in 150mm, 175mm, and 200mm lengths.
The Transfer Neo’s lever has a rubber-coated thumb pad and mimics the texture and distance from the handlebar of a regular Transfer lever but with a shorter throw. Its compact size allows it to sit just 36mm below the handlebar, which means less chance of contact between the lever and the bike’s top tube.
Fox Transfer Neo Features
- Transfer Neo is notably shorter in terms of stack height than the competion, 47mm from bottom of the controller to center of saddle rails, an 18mm improvement over other wireless droppers. It also comes in a 200mm max drop option, giving riders more drop relative to their height to help conquer steep tracks and chutes.
- Transfer Neo’s battery placement provides maximum tire clearance – absolutely no worries about hitting the battery under full compression mid-ride.
- Transfer Neo has a Schrader valve on the top of the post, making for easy pressure adjustments to suit terrain or rider preference, or to compensate for pressure loss over time.
- Transfer Neo has the same sleek new head design as the new Transfer, providing ultra-low stack and bullet-proof 2-bolt security and infinite angle adjustment.
- Transfer Neo comes in a dedicated 34.9mm diameter option. Both the upper and lower post are optimized. This results in a lighter post with less friction as compared to other 34.9 posts that use the 31.6mm upper tube with a thicker lower tube.
- The app tracks cycles and notifies you when it’s time to service your post. This is much more accurate than trying to keep track of hours.
- Transfer Neo system turns on automatically when the bike moves using the Shake-to-Wake function, and sleeps after five minutes of inactivity. No need for a power button.
- The dust wiper can be easily removed for re-greasing, keeping the post running smooth between service intervals. The FOX Bike app will track your Transfer Neo activations and at 8000 activations you should have it serviced at a FOX Bike service center.
- Manual actuation option (if lever battery dies) — press and hold the pairing button on the controller until the LED turns white. Press again to finish actuation.
The Factory Series Transfer Neo costs $859 USD ($1,149 CAD/€1,319 EUR), which includes the Transfer Neo Post, Lever, Battery, Charger, Cable, and clamping options. Spare batteries cost $79 USD ($106 CAD/€99 EUR). There is also a more affordable Performance Elite model, but it’s offered as an OEM spec only.
