Designer and bag maker Sebastiano Gallizia from Milan, Italy, recently published a highly polished and oddly satisfying video documenting “FrameCraft,” a micro-factory that was created to bring a level of standardization to custom frame bag manufacturing. We’re unsure whether it’s a student engineering project or a concept that’s being brought to life, but the idea behind the micro-factory system is fascinating nonetheless. As described by Sebastiano, “By compacting and automating the manufacturing process, FrameCraft bridges the gap between custom craftsmanship and industrial efficiency. It enables the creation of unique, tailor-made pieces at a mid-scale pace while promoting local production in Europe…” Watch the video below.
