Haro is back with an interesting new bike! The new trail-oriented Haro Saguaro range has three models with the entry level Saguaro 3 priced under $1,900. Find the geometry, details, and specs here…
We’ve been testing a lot of bikes that fall into the relatively progressive trail mountain bike category lately, including the Transition TransAM we reviewed earlier this week. There’s a lot to love about this geometry; the steep seat tube, long reach, and slack head tube angle formula balances climbing and extremely confident descending, and it’s nice to see more and more value-priced options hit the market. The new Haro Saguaro is just that. Best known for their BMX and freestyle bikes a few decades ago, Haro has been dormant for a minute, it seems—we haven’t heard much from them since they were promoting the Massi Giramondo at Interbike back in 2016. The new Saguaro lineup looks to change that with three models ranging from $1,899-3,999. All three feature a 140mm travel fork and the same heat-treated 6061 aluminum frame with different component specs.
Haro Saguaro 3
The most affordable of the Saguaro family. The Saguaro 3 is dialed back a little to bring the cost down. It features a RockShox TK35 140mm travel fork, Shimano Cues 11-speed drivetrain, WTB rims, sealed hubs, tubeless tires, and a TranzX dropper post. Find the full spec list and geometry below.
- Hydroformed, heat-treated 6061-T6 aluminum hardtail frame: Double-butted top and down tubes. Internal cable routing. Tapered head tube.
- Modern geometry: 64.5 degree head tube angle with a longer front triangle and shorter rear end.
- 140mm travel fork: RockShox TK35 Silver.
- WTB KOM Team 32 hole rims, with CNC-ed, sealed 15mm thru-axle front and six-sealed bearing, 12mm thru-axle (rear) hubs.
- Shimano Cues 11-speed Shadow Plus drivetrain
- Tires: Tubeless Kenda Pinner 29 X 2.4″ ATC (front)/Kenda Nevegal 2, 29 X 2.4″ATC (rear). Sealant included. Small size features 27 X 2.5″ rear “mullet” configuration.
