The Hunter Cycles Smooth Move Drop Bar is a fresh take on a classic shape, modeled after the classic Cinelli 65 Criterium bend handlebar with big curvy drops and a slight 3° flare. Find photos and specs here…

The new Hunter Cycles Smooth Move Drop Bar is the first curly bar from the California brand. Owner and designer Rick Hunter describes it as a fresh take on a classic shape. The large radius top bend into the hoods provides lots of wrist clearance for sprinting and technical riding in the drops—a design inspired by the Cinelli 65 Criterium bend handlebar.

While the Smooth Move Drop Bar has more drop (distance between the top of the bar to the center of the deepest part of the bend) and is longer than what we usually recommend for bikepacking, Rick says the design offers numerous hand positions and a range of body positions. As he puts it, “Ride upright on the tops, stretch out and grab the hoods, drape your wrists on the curved transition, or drop down to the flats and hooks and sail away.”
