Designed for speed, agility, and cornering confidence, the Kraken is the latest addition to Hutchinson’s XC tire range. The Kraken is offered in 29 x 2.30″ with two casing options, the ultralight 127 TPI or tougher and more versatile 66 TPI, both featuring Hutchinson’s Hardskin bead-to-bead reinforcement. Hutchinson claims “the Kraken will meet the needs of pure performance addicts as well as XC Marathon competitors or Trail enthusiasts.” With fast-rolling center knobs and plenty of lugs for cornering, we think it looks like an interesting tire option for drop-bar 29ers or hardtail bikepacking rigs…
