Some friends of the late Iohan Gueorguiev have organized an overnight ride and campout in Cranbrook, British Columbia, to celebrate his life and cycling accomplishments. Learn more here…

It’s already been a year since Iohan Gueorguiev’s devastating passing, and the cycling community, his friends, and family continue to process this loss. Although Iohan was born in Bulgaria, he passed away in Cranbrook, British Columbia, in August 2021, where he spent time exploring the province during the pandemic.

A group is putting on a weekend of celebration and remembrance this month in Cranbrook, with all proceeds being donated to HeadsUpGuys.org, an organization that supports men in their recovery from depression. From August 26th to 28th, there will be food, fireside stories, and an easy overnight campout that’s open to riders of all skill levels. The cost to attend is $50, which includes dinner on Friday, live music, breakfast the following day, and more.
