New from the Portuguese bike company Jeronimo is the Txabardo II, a titanium downcountry hardtail with loads of improvements from their first iteration. The frame is made from 3Al2.5V double-butted titanium, has a T47 bottom bracket, rear flat mount brake standard, internal routing, and can clear a 27.5 x 2.8″ or 29 x 2.6″ tire. The Jeronimo Txabardo II is also boost spaced and fully compatible with SRAM UDH full mount rear derailleurs. Said to be designed around the most challenging terrain, the Jeronimo Txabardo II offers comfort when descending via a 65 degree head tube angle and long top tube. Alas, with 425mm chainstays, this bike shouldn’t struggle to climb well, either.

Built with 120mm suspension forks in mind, it can handle a range of 100-130mm of travel. A capable hardtail with a penchant for adventure, the Jeronimo Txabardo II has a 31.6 seat tube, boost spacing in the rear, and a ZS44/EC44 tapered headset standard. Frames start at roughly €1,899 EU ($2,065 USD), but for those looking for something slightly more economical, it’s also offered in chromoly steel with the same specs as the titanium version. Jeronimo also offers the ability for customers to buy their frames with a Cane Creek Helm 2 fork for €3,199 EU ($3,480 USD). While certainly not cheap for a bike frame, these prices do include shipping from the EU!

Overall, the Jeronimo Txabardo II look an interesting titanium offering from a company that’s taking the time to carefully iterate upon their designs. With a solid range of suspension forks on the market, it seems this bike could serve well in a variety of configurations. Be it your quicker, long-hours XC rig or something you put a large travel fork on a really test the limits of, I think the geometry and capabilities provided could make it something special.
