Jones Bikes just announced four fresh components, including two new H-Bar models, additional colors of their Kraton H-grips, and an updated version of their quirky Gnarwal aero bar. Find details on all four items here…

Earlier this morning, the team over at Jones Bikes dropped four new and updated products, all geared toward dialing in the comfort of your ride. Find details on the new H-Bar Loop Butted Aluminum 2.5 and H-Bar Loop Carbon 35 mm, three new Kraton H-Bar grip colors, and an updated version of the Gnarwal grip in aluminum and carbon below.

Jones H-Bar Loop Butted Aluminum 2.5

The new Jones H-Bar Loop Butted Aluminum 2.5 is a lighter version of their popular aluminum H-Bar and is made with a butted aluminum material that’s thicker around the welds, where extra strength is needed, and thinner elsewhere, making it around 165 grams lighter than the Jones H-Bar Loop SG 2.5. It’s also 2″ (51mm) higher to help riders get their bars up for added comfort. The Jones H-Bar Loop Butted Aluminum 2.5 is available in two widths, 660 and 710mm, and two colors, black or silver. The price for all versions is $122 USD. Find complete details here.

Jones H-Bar Loop Carbon 35 mm

Jones’ H-Bar Loop Carbon 35 mm features a larger clamping area that offers increased stiffness and a more solid integration with the stem. Its larger real estate also makes it more comfortable on long rides. A high-quality carbon construction means it’s incredibly light and does a better job of absorbing shocks than other materials. The new Jones H-Bar Loop Carbon 35 mm is offered in a 710mm width and has a 45-degree sweep, just like other Jones bars, but with a beefier 35mm clamping area. The grip area remains unchanged at 22.2mm for standard flat bar controls. Pricing is $350. Find additional details here.

New Jones Kraton H-Grip Colors

They’re constructed from synthetic rubber and include Jones Jones H-Grip expanding plugs. Retail pricing is $20 for a pair. See more here.

Jones Gnarwal

The Jones Gnarwal is a simple tube that attaches to the front of the Jones Loop H-Bar using a two-piece clamp and stainless steel hardware. It offers an additional location to place your hands and increased control when using the H-Bars in an aerodynamic position. You read that correctly, it’s an aero bar for the H-Bar. The updated version sees several improvements over the original, including:

  • Wider clamp is stiffer and has a more secure grip
  • The one-piece face plate has more clamping surface and is also easier to install
  • Overall lighter design (17g lighter in aluminum, 33g in carbon)
  • Now available in aluminum and also a lighter carbon fiber version

If an aero position on Jones bars isn’t quite your speed, the Gnarwal is also a useful location for mounting devices such as GoPros, GPS units, and computers. Along with the updated Gnarwals, Jones is also now offering a single Jones EVA grip for added comfort when using it as a grip. The Gnarwal sells for $68 in aluminum and $98 in carbon.
