Apidura continues building out their Backcountry series for riders venturing off the beaten track with the introduction of a larger 10L size of their Backcountry Saddle Pack, which features not just extra volume, but also a few notable improvements over the existing 4.5L and 6L versions. Combined with Apidura’s optional Dropper Post Adapter, the new size is as dropper-friendly as the smaller versions, making it well-suited for singletrack bikepacking on a modern mountain bike.

It’s the brand’s first bag on which the grey VX21 fabric has been replaced with a proprietary variant of Hexalon, featuring a TPU-based, DWR treatment that eliminates harmful PFAs from the bag’s production. The additional strap with a foam spacer is designed to enhance the bag’s stability on slim dropper stanchions, particularly over technical terrain. In familiar Apidura style, the new saddle bag is waterproof thanks to its fully seam-welded construction. It also features reflective detailing for visibility and a bungee cord on top for lashing clothing and gear. Durable 420D nylon is used to reinforce high-stress areas.
