Leigh Foster’s latest video chronicles a charming summer bikepacking trip around Wisconsin’s Driftless Area, a little-known but exceptionally beautiful region of rolling terrain dotted with small towns full of friendly people. Watch the 20-minute release here…

In August, Leigh Foster loaded up his trusty Kona Sutra for a 260-mile bikepacking journey around Wisconsin’s Driftless Area. Encompassing parts of Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin, the Driftless is a quietly stunning region characterized by its steep hills, forested ridges, and deeply carved river valleys, all of which are quite a contrast to the surrounding plains of “flyover country.” Leigh’s new video offers a slow, occasionally cinematic look at a ride through the region, with insights into local history and culture, a guest appearance by the Bike Farmer, and a peaceful immersion in the pastoral countryside.
