The Magic of Trail Family: A Miles of Portraits Film

Shot in the spring of 2019, Miles of Portraits: Southwest | The Magic of Trail Family is a short film that follows two friends, Annalisa and Erik, on a 2,000-mile bike tour between Los Angeles, California, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Beyond simply being a documentation of their trip, it’s a film that brings into focus the many forms of connection that bicycle travelers experience while out riding. Whether it’s traveling companions, other cyclists, or kind locals who open their homes to passing riders, The Magic of Trail Family makes a compelling case that it’s the people who make any trip memorable.
