First up, here’s a look at the full ATB sticker sheet we teased last week—find that linked in the Related Content grid below. Each one is printed on high-quality vinyl and has four kiss-cut decals to choose from, all modeled and sized after classic steel tubeset labels.
We’ve been talking to our friend Mark Bentley (@bentleycomponents) ever since we were wowed by his custom Fairlight Faran brass top caps nearly two years ago. We finally pulled the trigger with a Pedal Further version using Bentley’s low-profile design back in the fall, and now they’re ready to roll. There will be two versions, the brass one shown here and an anodized alloy “HNL Gray” version, which looks like a light gunmetal color. They’re both works of art and we’re stoked to get them out there.
Last but not least, introducing our new Artist Series T-shirts. By extension of our Rider’s Lens editorials, we came up with the idea of engaging artists/riders to create a series of graphics in their unique style. Each will be printed on a T-shirt, and we’re considering offering them as prints too. The only direction that we provide each artist is to come up with their own visual interpretation “Pedal Further,” the tagline of The Bikepacking Journal and this platform.
The first in this series is from Yeshe Parks, a New Mexican artist who you’ve likely seen on the pages of this website (see the related grid below). Yeshe is a talented illustrator and animator whose mind-tickling work ranges from pen and ink drawings to moving pictures. His Artist Series shirt is printed on a 100% cotton “sage green” T and will go up for sale alongside a dozen other products soon. Find details on that below. Stay tuned for more designs in this series and be sure to check out more of Yeshe’s amazing work at Yeshe.parts.
WHEN AND HOW
The first collection will go on sale within the next few weeks, and one or two more collections will be released closer to summer. We’ll be announcing them to our members exclusively at first as stock is limited. We expect much of it to sell out before reaching the public. Sorry folks, that’s the way it is; Bikepacking Collective members support this website and get first dibs (and 20% off). Members, look for an email announcement soon. If you’re interested in joining the Bikepacking Collective to help support this platform and get perks such as The Bikepacking Journal, industry discounts, eligibility for regular Collective Reward giveaways, and first priority on merchandise, click here to join.
