Doom 2025

“Natalie Peet’s Tales & Gear of Doom” is the latest series of talks from the Ozark Gravel Cyclist YouTube channel. In it, we get to hear Natalie Peet, the women’s winner for Doom 2025, a bikepacking race route comprising just over 400 miles and well over 40,000 feet of elevation gain, talk about her experience completing the course in just 2 days, 15 hours, and 49 minutes.

Unfortunately, Natalie took a tumble on the final section of singletrack and still has the scars to show it. But, the increasingly experienced racer seems in good spirits and gives a great run through of her gear, her bike, and the approach she took to what was not only an extremely challenging course, but a hard course in a tough year. Historic rains hit northwestern Arkansas just days before the grand depart and Natalie still set one of the fastest times on route. She truly is one to watch for the years to come, as is her partner and framebuilder Jesse Turner of Slow Southern Steel.
