Made by Nitto in Japan, the new SimWorks ‘Off The Road’ rack is designed to be better suited for off-road use, carrying more, and travelling further. In true SimWorks fashion, the rack features a unique shape, elegant curves, and a chromoly steel construction. The fit is adjusted using their ‘Denden’ bolt height adjustment for the rack ‘limbs’ and Daruma-secured connection rods.
The Off The Road rack weighs 1.15kg and can handle loads up to 16kg. At first glance it looks like it would be great for a pannier set up and has a generously sized top platform for lashing on extra gear. Compared to the lighter On The Road rack, it has thicker diameter tubing, triple the amount of load capacity, and weighs around 300g more. The rack comes in a Chrome Plated or Black finish and retails for $255 USD.
