The redesigned Nordest CANDONGA 2 Ti is a titanium gravel bike designed around a Pinion gearbox. It has two geometry options for flat-bar or drop-bar setups and can accommodate 700 x 50mm or 650b x 2.1″ tires. Find all the details here…
Released in 2019, the original Nordest CANDONGA was a titanium Pinion-equipped gravel bike offered in two versions: a fixed rear dropout model paired with Pinion’s chain/belt tensioner or a Gates belt drive-ready sliding dropout model. For 2024, Nordest took the CANDONGA to the next level with a range of updates and promising new features.

The Nordest CANDONGA 2 Ti is still a titanium gravel bike based around a Pinion gearbox. According to Nordest, it’s “a gravel/anything bike designed to go to the end of the world.” The frame is made from TITANIUM Ti3Al2.5V double butted tubing, it has external rear brake routing and internal Pinion Smart.Shift routing for those who want it, and it has more mounting points than the previous model, with top tube mounts, downtube mounts, rack mounts, and two standard bottle mounts. The frame has clearance for 700 x 50mm or 650b x 2.1″ tires, and it has sliding dropouts for belt/chain tensioning.
Where things get interesting is that Nordest offer’s the bike in two geometry options for flat bars or drop bars. As expected, the drop-bar model has a shorter reach and top tube length—at least on the larger sizes—and the flat-bar version has a shorter seat tube and more compact wheelbase, for an upright, relaxed stance.

Both versions are designed around a 400mm axle-to-crown fork, like the Nordest Albarda Carbon fork, but it’s also available to purchase with a Cane Creek Invert CS 40mm suspension fork. The geometry charts are below, with the flat bar model on the left and drop bar on the right.
The CANDONGA 2 Ti has 12mm thru-axles, a 27.2mm seatpost, uses a ZS44/EC44 headset, and the medium/large frame weighs 4,970 grams (10.9 pounds).
