The latest utility bike from the cargo specialists at OMNIUM in Copenhagen is the new OMNIUM Nano, an extra-compact, small-wheeled frontloader designed for daily life on the move. Find more details here…
Copenhagen, Denmark’s OMNIUM just unveiled its most compact cargo-carrying platform yet. Designed to meet the needs of the modern city dweller, the new OMNIUM Nano’s pint-sized footprint makes it easy to haul up stairs into apartments or roll onto trains and other public transportation. It’s a capable car replacement for light trips around the city, offering ample capacity for trips to the grocery store, post office, or out into the hills for a night under the stars.
The new Nano sits on a pair of 20-inch wheels with 2.15” tires and has a short wheelbase for snappy handling and ease of getting up to speed. It has a double-butted Chromoly steel frame and a mini rack that can handle payloads up to 88 pounds (40 kilograms). Including the rider, the Nano’s maximum loading weight is 275 pounds (125 kilograms).
OMNIUM’s new model carries over many of the standards from its lauded Cargo and Mini-Max V3 models, making it compatible with an array of existing accessories. Add-ons include Nano-specific webbing, a rack extender, a tilting rack bracket, a kickstand, fenders, and more. It’s specced for 1x drivetrains only, including single-speed configurations. Cable routing is external, and like OMNIUM’s other models, the Nano uses IS brake mounts.
The OMNIUM Nano is offered in a single frame size intended to fit riders from around 5’3” to 6’3” (160cm to 190cm) tall. It’s available in two colors, Pastel Pink and Bottle Green. Frame kits will retail for €1,130 ($1,330), and complete SRAM Apex 11 builds will cost €2,420 ($2,850). The first batch of Nanos is expected to arrive at OMNIUM soon.
