Announced earlier this week via social media, the Outside Supply Toad Bar is a collaborative design between Max Trejo (also known as Dirt Toads on Instagram) and S&M Bikes in Santa Ana, California. Said to offer just the right balance between shape and feel, the Toad Bar is a flat handlebar with 18 degrees of back sweep and a 30mm rise. At 780mm wide, the bars are made of steel and use a 22.2mm clamp with a 210mm grip area.
Available in black and raw color finish options at $95, each of these bars are made in the USA. Per Max, “With a huge option pool of steel ‘alt bars’ out there to choose from, I still felt that I couldn’t quite find what I was looking for, given my riding style and build applications. With the opportunity to work with such a reputable bike company to produce them right here at home, it was an easy decision to get them going. Don’t let their simple approach fool you, Jason over at S&M said these are the ‘hardest bars I’ve worked on’ and we appreciate the work he and his crew put in to get these just right.”
