Oveja Negra’s Sewing Hope Fundraiser

Salida, Colorado-based Oveja Negra has been sewing up a handful of limited edition blue and yellow bikepacking bags as part of a fundraiser to support Ukrainian refugees. In addition to those bags, they received donations from companies all over Salida and Chaffee County, and they now have 10 unique gift packages for the drawing that folks can sign up for. The fundraiser has been running since July 9th and will continue until July 24th. To date, they’ve raised around $5,000 and are hoping to raise much more in the week ahead.

Donations will be sent to a civilian-operated non-governmental organization located in Slovakia that is currently providing support for more than 100 children and seniors displaced by the conflict. Every $10 donation puts your name into the drawing, and you have the option to specify what prize package you want your entries to go toward. Prizes include donations from Monarch Ski Area, Kleen Kanteen, Club Ride, Wavo River Surfboards, and loads of items from Oveja Negra.
