Finding the perfect camp shoe or sandal with the right balance of packability and comfort is no easy task. We already shared some of our favorite lightweight options here, but there’s a serious lack of proper shoes with covered toes that pack down small enough to justify bringing them on bikepacking trips. That’s where the new PEdALED Foldable Bikepacking Shoes come in.
The PEdALED Foldable Bikepacking Shoes are compact camp shoes made from a lightweight ripstop upper, an interesting bungee lacing system, Vibram’s Gumlite Plus rubber compound sole, and a polyester-bamboo blended insole. The sole can fold in half for a small pack size, and PEdALED includes a handy storage bag to keep your kit clean. They weigh just 242 grams (size 44). The catch? They cost a whopping $150.
