The team over at PEdALED launched an entirely new range of cycling apparel this morning, the Odyssey Collection, and it includes several interesting items with features that ultra-distance bikepackers are likely to appreciate. It’s fitting, then, that they tested pieces from the new line in events like the Transcontinental Race and Silk Road Mountain Race before refining and finally releasing them today. And as with everything we’ve seen from the Japanese-Italian brand, the new range looks stylish, functional, and extremely well made. Here’s a brief overview of everything in the Odyssey Collection:
Odyssey Jersey
The Odyssey Jersey is the first jersey in the world to feature seven pockets: two lateral, three large cargo pockets on the back, one zip pocket for valuables, and an extra dry mesh pocket on the back for carrying wet garments. It features reflective elements on the back, arms, and rear pockets to offer added visibility when riding in the dark. And it’s constructed from PEdALED’s Sensitive skin® fabric, which they say guarantees extreme breathability, quick drying, and anti-smell protection.

Odyssey Bibshorts
The Odyssey Bibshorts are designed to be the most sophisticated yet simple element of the Odyssey collection. In designing them, PEdALED aimed to to create a bib short that could store a lot without compromising its pure aesthetic. To that end, the Odyssey Bibshorts are equipped with three cargo pockets: two hidden leg pockets and one larger pocket on the back. The legs pockets use a clever, minimal system that’s simple yet functional, allowing quick access to items and featuring a grippy lower edge to prevent objects from escaping while riding.

Odyssey Jacket
The Odyssey Jacket is a waterproof garment that combines lightness and breathability with a great water resistance. It features with an internal pocket to self pack and store in your jersey pocket, making it the perfect layer to bring when the road and the weather conditions are uncertain. The Odyssey Jacket has an extra back panel to use in case of heavy rain, combined with PEdALED’s reflective logo print, making you more visible in dark conditions.
It also has a side zip pocket to keep valuables dry, and its YKK offset zip is designed for a more comfortable experience while riding with a full-length zip underneath.

Odyssey Vest
The Odyssey Vest is a highly visible and lightweight piece for long days on the saddle. Its all over reflective print (inspired by Japanese rice) and back mesh panels are designed to match the reflective elements of the Odyssey Jersey, and they add extra visibility for riding after dark. The Odyssey Vest has zip pocket on the front and an inner elastic mesh pocket to self pack the entire vest for storage in your jersey pocket.

Odyssey Socks
The Odyssey Socks are made of special blend of silk and wool to guarantee superior comfort during long rides. Odyssey Gloves
The Odyssey gloves are designed to keep your hands comfortable, regardless of the weather. PEdALED built them around a two-part system that features an integrated pocket that stores a waterproof, reflective cover you can use when rain comes or darkness falls. The covering stashes into a small wrist pocket for times when conditions don’t require it. Best of all, it’s completely waterproof and features an all-over reflective print.
