UPDATE: Watch the full film here!
In light of all their in-person film screenings being cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, our friends at Pannier and Brother Cycles have decided to try something a bit different to release Rainspotting, their new film that follows a group of six riders on an 84-hour bikepacking ramble along rugged gravel roads through Scotland’s gloomy Grampians. They’re encouraging folks from all over the world to get together, alone, to watch Rainspotting at the same time.
From Pannier: Calling all outsiders, cyclists, bikepackers, tourers and armchair adventurers. Fill up your favourite enamel mug and head to the Scottish Highlands for 17-minutes of escapism – following a group of cyclists as they head off on an opportunistic wintry journey to ride the old-established network of gravel drove roads, only to find themselves bogged-down exploring the alluring voids in between. Expect sleeper trains, rain, snow, magical munro-mountains, gravel, cullen skinks, cranachans, bogs, bridges, and la-di-dah land-owners…
We’ll post the film here on the site when it’s live at 19:30 GMT (3:30 PM EDT) on Wednesday, March 25th, so set a reminder for the watch party and be sure to check back. In the meantime, check out this short teaser below:
