In hopes of expanding the work they’ve been doing center gender inclusivity and racial equity in cycling and the outdoors since 2017, the organizers at Radical Adventure Riders (RAR) are working to grow their number of local chapters to 20 across the United States. Working at the grassroots level, these chapters will receive funding to help offset the costs of hosting rides, furnishing cycling and camping gear for members, and more. To make this possible, the group has been trying to raise $40,000, but they’re only about 25% of their way to that goal.
To help move the needle, RAR called on brands from around the community to chip in some prizes, and several stepped up in a big way. Salsa, Revelate Designs, Velocity Wheels, Teravail, Bags x Bird, and SimWorks put together five fantastic prize packages, and every US resident who donates $25 to RAR’s chapter fundraiser in the next couple of weeks will be entered to win. RAR will announce winners on Tuesday, May 16th.
As shown above, the prizes in this raffle include a Salsa Journeyer Apex bike; Revelate Designs Mag-Tank, Sweetroll, and Feedbags; Velocity Wheels custom wheelset with Teravail tires; Bags x Bird Piccolo bag; and Simworks Taco Pedal, Burrito Rack, and Fried Egg RAL Cap.
