Ratio Technology’s new Cable Spool allows you to modify a SRAM 10-speed shifter to work with a 12-speed derailleur. Find out about it and the company’s new 1×12 Road Upgrade Kit here…
Ratio Technology, the UK-based company that created the parts kit to convert your SRAM 11-speed mechanical road shifter to a 12-speed SRAM Eagle shifter, just released two additional 12-speed conversion products along similar lines…
Ratio Cable Spool
This new little cable spool enables 10-speed SRAM shifters (Red, Force, Rival, Apex, or S Series) to work with Ratio’s 1×12 upgrade kits (including the one we tested) and control Eagle derailleurs. This product can be used with their 12-speed conversion kits or simply as a replacement part for SRAM 11 speed shifters, which Ratio claims is the most common point of failure. This small additive manufactured spool sells for £9.50. Learn more over at RatioTechnology.com.
Ratio 1×12 Road Upgrade Kit
Following their 1×12 Eagle conversion kit, Ratio has created a similar upgrade kit to work with SRAM’s 1×12 road groups—mainly Force 1×12 Wide. The new 1×12 Road Upgrade Kit allows you to pair 10 or 11-speed mechanical SRAM shifters and a 1x-specific Exact Actuation derailleur with a 12-speed eTap AXS cassette and chain to take advantage of the improved gear range and closer gear ratios without the expense or weight of electronic shifting. The £99.50 kit includes a 1×12 Road ratchet for SRAM 10 or 11-speed shifters and 12-tooth jockey wheels designed to work with a 1x-specific derailleur from the Force 1, Rival 1, or Apex 1 groups.
