The Rene Herse Indiana Pass Tires are a new semi-slick offering from the Seattle-based brand and a first foray into the 32″ size. Inspired by Meaghan Hackinen’s 2026 Tour Divide win, the tires are built for speed. Check out all the details below…
The Rene Herse Indiana Pass tires mark the brand’s primary venture into 32″ tires. Using the semi-slick design from their Corkscrew Climb and Poteau Mountain tires, the Indiana Pass combines Rene Herse’s signature circular knobs with a uniform slick tread down the middle. Per the brand, this design supposedly makes the tire corner like a much wider option. The interesting part is that while Rene Herse’s other two semi-slicks are under 2″, the Indiana Pass tires are 32 x 2.2″, bringing the claimed benefits of this design to mountain-bike widths.
As for naming conventions, the Indiana Pass tires are inspired by Meaghan Hackinen’s 2026 Tour Divide win. Indiana Pass is the highest riders cross on the Tour Divide. Meaghan set a new women’s record on the course. Rene Herse states, “There is no doubt: 32-inch wheels are coming. While the jury is still out on whether 32-inch wheels roll faster, we know they change how a bike steers and how it performs when climbing and sprinting out of the saddle. More choice is a good thing. That’s why we’re expanding our tire line into the new wheel size.”
The new 32″ tires will be offered in all of Rene Herse’s casing options. The Indiana Pass tires are tubeless-ready, have a recommended IW of 17-30 mm, and will start shipping in April 2027. Pricing for the tires sits between $87 and $115, depending on your choice of casing.
