The Restrap Bumper Bar is an interesting new multi-functional accessory that serves as a support for handlebar bags and a mounting place for lights. Learn more here…
We’ve seen several handlebar-mounted accessories designed to support bags and provide extra room for cables in recent years, but the folks at Restrap managed to design something that stands out from the growing crowd. Introducing the Bumper Bar, a nifty little accessory that takes the place of a 3mm headset spacer and is designed to fit all 1 1/8″ steerers. Not only does it provide a solid platform to support handlebar bags, pushing them up and away from the front tire, it also has mounting points for attaching front lights. Restrap says the Bumper Bar is ideal for smaller bikes with a low stack height or where handlebar to tyre clearance is limited.
The Bumper Bar is made from powder-coated steel and has 30mm slots along the top and bottom for attaching bar bag retention straps. Restrap designed it so it pairs up well with any of their bags, but we imagine it would work well with most other handlebar bags as well.
