The Restrap Switch Rack is a rear-mounted cargo system capable of handling significant weight. Though it’s not yet available, Restrap says they feel so confident in the performance and design of their prototypes that they want to share their newest product with the world a little early. The Switch Rack is mounted at the thru axle and ISO tested to 30 kilograms (66 pounds). Featuring 64mm-spaced bolting on the rack legs for cages, the rack is designed for their Restrap Switch Panniers or other compatible accessories. The top bar also hints at a host of upcoming products, as it will be compatible with a new ecosystem designed around the attachment.
The Switch Rack itself is said to weigh just 395 grams. It’s made from 7075-T6 aluminium, uses 12mm-diameter axles with 1mm, 1.5mm, and 1.75mm thread pitches, and is compatible with 142mm and 148mm Boost spacing and UDH and SRAM Transmission hangers. The Switch Rack is made in the UK and will ship with whatever axle standard the customer selects at checkout for $189.99 / £124.99 / €149.99.
