REYR Gear’s new River Runner booties are lightweight, packable, provide grip on slippery surfaces, and look like they could make a great addition to a bikefishing kit. Check them out here…

Launched in 2018, California-based REYR Gear kicked things off with a telescopic fly rod and has expanded its travel-friendly product line with multiple rods, collapsible nets, and hip packs. To round off the lineup, REYR has entered the footwear game with the River Runner booties—a lightweight alternative to full-sized wading boots. While I’m not a diehard fisherman myself, they look like they could be useful for day rides and overnighters when fishing is the name of the game.

According to REYR, the River Runner booties are designed to be simple and efficient. They are made from a neoprene upper and felt sole to provide light insulation and traction on river moss and rocks. They include a stuff sack, are offered in sizes 5-14, and weigh just 539 grams (1 pound 3 ounces) for a size 9.

The REYR booties cost $59 USD and are available now from ReyrGear.com.
