It’s no secret that wide and flared drop bars are great for riding on rough terrain and can help push your favorite gravel bike just a little bit further. We’ve seen an influx of wide drop bars over the last year, and even put together a detailed list of current options here. Joining their ranks is Farr’s new Wide-R GRVL Alloy handlebar, built by Nitto Handlebar Works in Japan for a clean, high-quality look that we can get behind.
The new bar is constructed from heat-treated alloy with a standard 31.8mm bar clamp diameter, and comes in three different widths: 650mm, 700mm, and 750mm (measured from drop end to drop end). The Wide-R GRVL Alloy bar has a short 65mm reach, 120mm drop, and a sporty 20 degree flare. In true Nitto fashion, the bar is available in gloss black and showcases no branding.
