In a battle against the age of fast fashion and instant gratification, Los Angeles-based Ripton & Co. is on a mission to produce the best technical denim shorts in the world. After three years of development and testing, followed by a soft launch last December, founder Elliot Wilkinson-Ray and his bike industry / fashion school friends just launched two styles of updated jorts: hemmed and cut-off.

Ripton & Co. has expanded their Jort line to include two new washes (dark and light) and a more refined fit, all while keeping production in Los Angeles. They’ve also been diverting fabrics heading to landfills, their products are Bluesign approved, and sustainability continues to be one of their highest priorities. The V2 Jorts are available in both men’s and women’s, in a wide selection of sizes, and the latest dark wash Jorts are on sale until Friday.

Also, while we initially wore our adventure denim a lot on long bike rides, we have found that the average Ripton owner is wearing them throughout their daily lives as much or more than on the bike. The Ripton & Co. V2 Jorts in Dark Wash are on sale this week for $79 USD, in both men’s and women’s, while the Light Wash V2 Jorts remain at their regular price of $89 USD.
