The Rockshox DebonAir air was just updated and optimized to provide more initial support and maintain a higher ride height… good for technical terrain and bikepacking. Here are the details…

One thing I love about the Rockshox Pike is the fact that it sits up high in the travel, then comes to life when you push it on the trail. These are characteristics not only beneficial on technical trail rides, but also while bikepacking. RockShox just upgraded this even more based on rider feedback. According to RockShox, the new DebonAir air spring provides even more initial support and maintains higher ride height than the previous model, which “adds more confidence on technical terrain.” They accomplished this by moving the air piston position (a whopping 10mm) relative to the dimple. “This means more initial support and the use of every millimeter of travel available to stay on top of the terrain.” According to some initial ride reports, it makes a significant difference. We look forward to trying it out…
