Teased at the MADE bike show earlier this year, the Ron’s Bikes R-Werks EVOO 29er is a lightweight, rigid aluminum mountain bike with a refreshing mix of old-school simplicity and new-school angles. Pre-orders just opened and you can find all the details here…

The new Ron’s Bikes R-Werks EVOO 29er is Ronnie Romance’s take on a formidable rigid 29″ mountain bike. Picking up where the Ron’s Bikes ALUMALITH—a 27.5″ rigid ATB—left off, the R-Werks EVOO 29er is made in Vermont and designed to be lighter with slightly more modern touches, such as a 31.6mm seat post and internal dropper routing. That being said, it’s still designed around 135/100mm quick-release dropouts and rim brakes. The R-Werks has clearance for 700 × 45mm and 29 × 2.4″ tires and meant to play nice with all types of handlebars: dropped, flat, and swept back.

R-Werks EVOO 29er Geometry

The R-Werks EVOO 29er comes in four sizes. All have a 68° head tube angle, 75° seat tube angle, and relatively short 435mm chainstays. At fist glance, it looks like a capable all-terrain bike, sharing similar angles to other recent flat-bar rigid bikes, such as the Hudski Doggler I reviewed and the upcoming Dualist.
