Specialized’s New Spring ADV Collection

I’ve been waiting for Specialized to launch another Merino T. I still have their wool blend pocket-T from the big “adventure” launch back in 2016. You know, the one where they released the Sequoia and a full line of bikepacking bags? It’s gone on multiple big trips and I think it has something like 7,000 miles of use on it at this point, and it’s still going! At any rate, today’s the day, and the new Spring ADV Collection includes some sharp-looking men’s and women’s merino jerseys, shorts, and interesting cargo bibs—if you’re into that sort of thing. Specialized ADV Short Sleeve Jersey (Men’s and Women’s)

The garment-washed men’s and women’s ADV Short Sleeve Jerseys are made from an antimicrobial “drirelease” Merino wool blend and feature a casual cut, pull-over fit, and two rear zipper pockets. The fabric is a knit blend made from 84% Polyester, 11% Wool, and 5% Spandex. Unfortunately, it’s not nearly a majority Merino, so we’ll see how it performs. Both the women’s and men’s ADV jerseys come in several color patterns and retail for $100.

Specialized ADV SWAT Bib (Men’s and Women’s)

The new Specialized ADV SWAT Bib has a few unique features, including their patented hanging “SWAT pocket” in the back and two generous side-leg cargo pockets made from soft mesh stretch fabric to keep belongings accessible and secure. The Women’s ADV SWAT Bib features a drop-tail construction “for hassle-free nature breaks” and according to the press materials, an “anatomically evolved 3X Chamois with REPOC construction for all-day endurance with reduced pressure.” Both the men’s and women’s ADV Bibs will sell for $180.

Specialized ADV Shorts (Men’s and Women’s)

The new ADV short is constructed from a rugged, twill-weave fabric with a “VaporRize” moisture-wicking blend. According to Specialized, it features plenty of storage, a cut that falls above the knee, and comes in White Mountain and Doppio colors. The men’s and women’s ADV Shorts are available for $120.

There are a few more new products that were launched in the ADV range, including a Merino Neck Gaiter and the ADV Air Short Sleeve Jersey, featuring a front chest zipper pocket and a cinchable hem. That’s all the details we have for now, and there aren’t detail pages published for any of these products on the Specialized website yet, but we’ll links when we get them.
