Specialized quietly unveiled their new ADV lineup, including an interesting Specialized ADV Packable Down Jacket with a natural dye color option and responsibly sourced down. Find all the details here, plus a launch video featuring Sarah Swallow…
Specialized released the ADV lineup last year, targeting the adventure/gravel/bikepacking side of the market. They recently added a few more items to the range, including the ADV Packable Down Jacket that comes in men’s and women’s cuts. The Specialized ADV Packable Down Jacket is made with ALLIED Feather + Down Fill and PrimaLoft Bio, which they claim combine to create a lightweight insulation that “keeps you warm when you need it to but packs small when it’s time to stow the cycling jacket in a jersey pocket.”
According to Specialized, the ALLIED Feather + Down fill “sets the standard for responsibly sourced and processed down.” They tout this blend as having excellent insulating properties and superior warmth-to-weight ratio. ALLIED Feather + Down fill is hypoallergenic, packs small, and Specialized also says it’s processed to maximize durability.

The patterning on the Specialized ADV Packable Down Jacket is designed for an optimal fit while in the riding position. It’s available in both men’s and women’s versions for $300 and comes in several colors, including the “Dove Grey Splash” shown here. Find details at Specialized.com.
