State Bicycle Co’s new Carbon Monster Gravel Fork has clearance for 27.5 x 2.2″ tires, thru-axles, full-carbon construction, and a reasonable price tag of $289.99. Find all the details here…

Released alongside State’s new 6061 All-Road gravel bike, the Carbon Monster Gravel fork is available as an upgrade for their 4130 All-Road and 6061 Black Label All-Road, or separately for your winter gravel bike project. State claims the fork is constructed from some “of the highest grade carbon on earth” and offers fender mounts, Anything Cage mounts, and internal brake routing. Although clearance for 27.5 x 2.2″ tires may not be considered monstrous by today’s standards, the fork is priced quite competitively at $289.99 USD.

The AC length of the Monster carbon fork is 396.7mm. As this is offered for their 4130 bike which had a straight 1 1/8 steel fork, they also have a headset cup to adapt it. The original 4130 fork has a 408 AC. The bottom of the headset adds about 11.7mm compared to the stock steel one, so after assembling, the Monster length is 396.7+11.7=408.4mm. It is nearly the same size as the 4130 forks. So after assembling, the experience of riding is the same.
