Launched in November, the Stinner Select program offers stock versions of the California brand’s US-made bike models with non-custom geometry, lower price tags, and without the wait times that come with fully custom frames. They debuted the new program with the Stinner Carrizo all-road, and next up is the Stinner Refugio, a US-made gravel bike with enough oomph to handle rough descents, long climbs, and nearly any type of terrain.

Like the Carrizo, the Stinner Refugio is made from a blend of Columbus Zona/Life tubing. Every Refugio Select is fabricated, painted, and assembled in Santa Barbara, California, and has clearance for 700 x 50mm tires, UDH compatibility, and a component package prioritizing reliability and serviceability. Other specs include flat mount disc brakes, in-house-designed dropouts, external cable routing, fender mounts, two standard bottle mounts, and a third under the downtube.

The Stinner Refugio uses a BSA 68mm threaded bottom bracket, a 12mm thru-axles, a 27.2mm seatpost, and a 44mm straight head tube. Framesets and complete builds come equipped with a full carbon fork with dynamo routing, external brake routing, and three-pack mounts. It’s offered in six frame sizes with head tube angles between 71.25° and 72.5°, 438mm chainstays, and wheelbases from 1,027mm to 1,079mm. Find the geo chart below.

The Stinner Refugio Select is available to order as a frameset for $1,695 or as a complete build for $3,995 USD. The full build includes an Easton stem/bar, SRAM Apex/GX Eagle Transmission drivetrain, SRAM Apex Hydraulic brakes, and DT Swiss G1800 Spline wheels with WTB Resolute 700 x 50mm tires. It’s offered in two colors: Trailhead (green/gray) or Lake (blue).
