While there’s a lot of focus on rust prevention on frames and drivetrains, there often isn’t a lot of thought put into saving bike accessories, like baskets, from the same orange-coated fate. Made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, Tanaka Components’ bike baskets provide commuters and basketpackers a certain peace of mind when it comes to the structural integrity of their beloved baskets.
Available in two heights, the Tanaka bike basket comes in four limited edition colors. From teal, army green, dark grey, brick, and lunar green, there will be no shortage of color matching possibilities. The basket is also available in a raw or black, and retails for $29.95 USD (full) and $28.95 USD (half).
Of course, there are questions as to how the Tanaka bike basket fits into the greater Wald/bike bag ecosystem, but it appears to be the exact same size and dimensions as the Wald offerings at 15″ x 10″ x 4-3/4″.
