Vermont-based Tanglefoot Cycles recently teased a new model, the Sour Mash, and we put together some photos and a brief description of what to expect. Check out our exclusive sneak peek here…

Our friends at Tanglefoot Cycles (@tanglefootcycles) in Vermont just sent along this exclusive preview of their forthcoming Sour Mash, which looks like it’ll be right at home in their small but characterful and thoughtfully designed line-up of bikes. We don’t know many specifics just yet, but it certainly has us intrigued. We’ll leave it to them to describe the Sour Mash and what it’s all about:

“The Tanglefoot Sour Mash was conceived by consulting a bottle of maple syrup laced with bourbon laced with coffee. By tracing the sugar lines that lace our woods, we determined the optimal head tube angle and seat tube angles, which are the same on every size. Our love of Muck Boots as riding shoes dictated a no toe overlap arrangement, even the Xtra Small. Fillet brazing because it’s how they made Lotus 7s. Clearance for 2.4″ tires and mud on all sizes, 700c on the bigger ones, 650b on the smaller ones. =High bottom bracket because it’s more stable (gasp!) and lets you pedal thru mud and rocks better. Mountain ISO tested because Tanglefoot is ATB AF. Clear cerakote finish with cerakote panels.”
