Tarptent continues to expand their Dyneema Composite tent series with their new ProTrail Li, building on over 20 years of customer feedback to make it their lightest, simplest, and most affordable Dyneema tent yet. Find details and photos here…

Since introducing their new Dyneema Composite Li series, Tarptent has been busy releasing ultralight versions of some of their most iconic designs. The Lithium Project, often referred to as Tarptent Li, now includes Dyneema versions of the StratoSpire, Aeon, Notch, and Double Rainbow. New for 2020 is the addition of the Tarptent ProTrail Li, a one-person, one-pound, ultralight shelter with one of the highest space-to-weight ratios on the market. The ProTrail is a descendent of one of Tarptent’s earliest designs, relying on two poles (or hiking poles) to pitch, a newly designed bonded bathtub floor, a two-way separating waterproof YKK Aquaguard zipper, and an improved interior storage pocket.

Unlike the Aeon Li, the ProTrail Li has no integrated pole structure, so it’s better suited to being stuffed into saddle bags or handlebar bags for bikepacking. The ProTrail Li comes fully seam taped, waterproofed, and bug-proofed, and there are optional support poles available (for an additional $20) for those travelling without hiking poles. The tent alone packs down to 12x4x4″, and includes 2.5mm reflective guyline and Easton Nanos stakes. The new Tarptent ProTrail Li is available now from Tarptent.com.
