Just announced, the new Tarptent Rainbow Li is a single-person version of their featherweight Double Rainbow Li, which Cass reviewed earlier this year. It’s their lightest arch pole supported shelter ever, made from Dyneema and ideal for those who went extra floor space for a long/wide sleeping pad. The Rainbow Li has a single side accessed door with vestibule and it’s free-standing with trekking poles (or optional support pole) or can be staked out at all corners for a non-freestanding (and even more lightweight) setup.

The Rainbow Li is bug-free thanks to its integrated bug screen, and it uses a hybrid double-wall design with a bathtub floor to keep the weight down. Tarptent offers an optional clip-in breathable liner that adds a separation layer to combat condensation in humid/damp environments. The tent is fully waterproof and comes fully seam-taped.
