Colorado-based Tectonic Components is back with an updated version of their Altar Pedals, now based around a lightweight aluminum construction. Learn more about the Tectonic Altar V2 Pedals here…
Tectonic Components is a new parts manufacturer based out of Durango, Colorado. Last year, they released their flagship project, the Altar Pedals, and we tested them out and put together a detailed review that you can find here. That first pedal was made in the USA, constructed from a unique carbon-reinforced nylon material that has proven to be durable. They’ve been teasing a new version over the last few weeks, and it’s finally available.
The new Tectonic Components Altar V2 Pedals feature the same traction pins, bearings, and hardware as the V1 pedals, as well as the same shape and profile. Aside from the few minor tweaks and fixes, the Altar V2 pedals are nearly identical to the V1 version, but they’re now constructed from a lightweight aluminum body.
The Altar V2 pedals are machined in Durango, Colorado, have a 125mm (L) x 110mm (W) platform area, a 2mm concavity, and weigh 405 grams/pair. They have a limited lifetime warranty and cost $199 USD. Check them out at Tectonic.Bike.
