It’s a big product launch day for Teravail, who are officially entering the rim game with their new Circos carbon gravel rim, a fresh gravel tire, and a new tubeless valve. Find details on all three products here…

It’s gravel day at Teravail, and while previously that would have meant more tires, the brand is expanding its reach to include rims, wheels, and tubeless valves. This marks an exciting new chapter for Teravail, and according to Erika Kooda, the Brand Marketing Specialist at Quality Bicycle Products, each component was developed from scratch, which allowed their designers to focus on the entire wheel system, not just tires. So not only is Teravail launching a brand new gravel tire today, but they are also launching their first carbon gravel rim, the Circos, and a new tubeless valve to pair with it. Find details on all three below.

Teravail Circos Carbon Gravel Rim

The Teravail Circos is a carbon gravel rim designed to pair with Teravail’s gravel tire lineup. It features a 25mm internal width (for 40-50mm tires), front- and rear-specific layups, has a hookless construction, and is available in 24 and 28-hole versions. According to Teravail, the Circos’ 30mm depth minimizes the moment of inertia, resulting in quick accelerations and a compliant ride feel.

The Circos is available as a rim-only for custom builds and as part of a complete wheelset with DT Swiss 350 hubs. Teravail hand-builds complete wheelsets at their Minnesota warehouse, allowing for hub and spoke customizations upon request. As an added bonus, the Circos comes with a lifetime warranty for the original owner in case anything should happen.

Looking at the spec chart below, individual rims weigh 370 grams and cost $495 USD. The standard complete wheels costs $590 for a front and $795 USD for the real wheel. Shop rims here and complete wheels here.

The new Updraft tire is Teravail’s fastest gravel tire yet. It’s designed for responsive acceleration and predictable control on gravel, with a unique file tread in the center and shoulder lugs for grip when cornering. The tubeless-ready, 120-TPI casing is designed to prevent flats, boost traction, and add comfort at low pressures.

Teravail Tubeless Valves

You can’t have a rim company without offering your own tubeless valve, right!? Teravail’s take on the tubeless valve features a 48mm length (additional sizes to come), integrated valve core tool, is compatible with tire inserts, and has a 4mm hex key slot for leverage when assembling/disassembling. It has a matte metallic finish that pairs nicely with the Circos rim. The valves cost $32/pair and are available now from Teravail.com.
