The new Tumbleweed Wagon Wheel chainring is a direct mount, 32-tooth chainring for Shimano cranks intended to seamlessly integrate into the wider Tumbleweed ecosystem. Find details on the new Wagon Wheel chainring from Tumbleweed here…

Available in both stainless steel (silver) and 7075 aluminum alloy (black), the new Tumbleweed Wagon Wheel chainring is a solid option for the versatile ATBs of today. Currently at only a single tooth count (32) and offset option (3mm), the Wagon Wheel provides users the same offset as the standard Shimano chainrings. Tumbleweed says they tend to run the Wagon Wheel on their Rohloff builds, as well as those with Shimano Super boost hubs, and it’s compatible with everything except 12-speed Shimano HG+ chains.

As previously stated, the differentiation in color denotes the make of the chainring material. The silver stainless steel option weighs more than double that of the black 7075 aluminum alloy ring, which come in around 150 and 70 grams, respectively. Of course, the tradeoff between the two materials is their durability. Tumbleweed states that one of their sponsored riders has easily put 5,000 miles on the stainless steel ring without showing any real signs of use. Now, that’s what I call value.

The Wagon Wheel retails at $110 USD for the stainless steel ring and $85 USD for the aluminum alloy option. For more on the Wagon Wheel, visit Tumbleweed.cc.
