The Ultralight Titanium Bikepacking Tool Weighs Just 84 Grams

Many mechanical issues are easy to plan for and fix on the trail. Most tire-related issues are repairable, brake pads can be replaced, and spare bolts and zip ties can solve a slew of problems, but some bike-related issues are hard to address without the right tools. Unfortunately, they’re often bulky and heavy.

Now on Kickstarter, the Ultralight Titanium Bikepacking Tool is exactly what its name suggests. It’s essentially a lightweight titanium cassette removal tool and chain whip, plus a tool for removing rotor lockrings and opening chain quick links. It’s made from Grade 5 titanium, and the two halves nest together for transport. We’re not sure of the exact dimensions, but we’ve already reached out to find out. See it in action below.

Vincent from the Netherlands is behind the project and is using the Kickstarter campaign to help start the series/bulk production, so he can keep costs reasonable and low. The tool is available via pre-order: early-bird pricing for a single tool is €39, standard pricing is €49, and a five-pack is €215. Estimated delivery is December 2026.
