The Vivo XC Air Derailleur and shifter are new components featuring aluminum and titanium construction to deliver, according to the company, some of its most responsive shifting to date. For more on these new bits, dive into the details below…
The new Vivo XC Air derailleur and shifter feature a lightweight aluminum construction and are hand-built to order. The XC derailleur and Linear Stealth shifter are compatible with other Vivo systems, as well as 12-speed systems and components across the drivetrain market. Let’s break down the specifics of each to see what they have to offer.
Vivo XC Air Derailleur
The XC Air derailleur weighs just 276 grams, is made of CNC-machined 7075 aluminum, uses two sealed cartridge bearings at every linkage point, and has a low-profile design with a skid surface in case the mech gets hit. With titanium linkage pivots and hardware, Vivo says the new XC derailleur is one of its most responsive shifting systems yet. It’s also compatible with both 9-45 or 10-52T cassettes and works with their F3 or LS1 shifters. Each derailleur is made to order, will ship in May, and costs $450 USD.

Vivo Linear Stealth Shifter
The Vivo Linear Stealth shifter is also made from both aluminum and titanium parts and is intended to slot into their existing component ecosystem. Weighing just 119 grams, this shifter features full CNC construction, customizable ergonomics via paddle selection, short-stroke linear shifts, and a compact shift body for cockpit organization. The shifter fits a minimum bar width of 780mm and is best used with a maximum rise of 40mm. Like the derailleurs, the shifters are made to order and cost $290 USD.
