We’ve long believed in the incredible restorative nature of a quick night out under the stars, and today’s Weekend Snapshot presents three more cases for setting aside a little time to see more of your backyard. This time around, we check out bikepacking getaways in the US, UK, and mainland Europe. Find this week’s snapshots below, then scroll down to the bottom of this post to submit your own!
Brecon Beacons, Wales
By Arianna Dunmire (@arianna.dunmire)
On the way up Pen y Fan in Brecon Beacons Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This photo is from the only 20 metres of ridable path on the way up. When the route we had been following was impassable, we decided we might as well summit the tallest “peak” in the southern UK, even if it meant hike-a-biking the whole way.
North Bridgers, Bozeman, Montana
By David Tucker
Sunrise on the Northern Bridger Range on the third day of a solo three-day loop starting and ending in Bozeman. This is the start of a classic Bozeman descent on the Shafthouse Trail just above the popular Fairy Lake. By riding from home, I was able to connect several iconic singletrack segments with doubletrack and dirt roads for a weekender in our local mountains.

A short bikepacking vacation on the lakes in Kaszuby, Poland. No rush, no unnecessary kilometers. Just us, nature, and coffee during breaks overlooking the surrounding lakes.
Send Us Your Weekend Snapshot
We’ll be selecting three photos per week to feature in Weekend Snapshot. Send yours along for consideration, and if it’s selected, we’ll be in touch! Note: we prefer 3:2 ratio landscape oriented photos.
