In today’s installment of Weekend Snapshot, we join folks from our global community of bikepackers on their rides along the Poland-Czech Republic border, up mountains in Austria, and to a lake in British Columbia. Find all three scenes here, plus a link to submit photos from your rides…

Today’s Weekend Snapshot follows one rider and a furry friend as they make their way through the mountains, a solo bikepacker seeking a simple post-workday reset, and a trio of friends meandering through enchanted forests in search of local delicacies. Find a glimpse at all three pedal-powered journeys below, and be sure to use the form at the bottom of this post to share images from your trips too!

We decided to have some fun in the mountains along the border between Poland and the Czech Republic, riding our bikes through the forest and drinking some local craft beers. The weekend ride then ended up with a well-deserved lentil soup in an old lodge.

I love to bike with my dog in the mountains. While fighting upwards, our pace is about the same. I usually pull the Burley Coho with my old 26″ all-mountain fully that has served me well for many years of climbing passes. But that was before dog!
