In his first video of 2026, Neil speaks to what 2025 indicated about the future of bikepacking. Starting by addressing the “vibe” of an industry still recovering from the whiplash of the COVID boom, Neil goes on to discuss some of the most significant trends to hit the market over the past year, offers some reflections on big picture ideas within the outdoor and cycling space, and reflects on what experiences and industry shifts sat with him most.

He also talks about how climate change has affected some of the routes we host here on the site and how technology from other parts of the outdoor industry has bled into bikes.
