Just announced, WTB has redesigned the graphics across their entire saddle lineup, providing a slightly more subtle look. Plus, as part of the update, WTB has released the Fit Right System, designed to accurately assist riders in determining their ideal saddle. Check out the details here…

Generally speaking, most of us here at BIKEPACKING.com are fans of WTB saddles. Cass has found bottom(less) bliss while riding the WTB Rocket V, while Logan really likes the Koda. Lucas has run the WTB Pure V on all of his bikes for long-term bikepacking trips, and loves it (and the price). I’ve spent a great deal of time on the Volt with pretty good success as well. Either way, today at EuroBike WTB announced updated graphics for their entire saddle lineup. More subdued graphics mean a sleek and modern appearance that, as WTB puts it, is designed not to “clash with the defining colours of a bike”, and every WTB saddle now receives a fresh premium microfiber exterior.

What’s more is that WTB saddles (models with cromoly rails and thin padding) now feature all-new HLX padding, which is 30% more shock absorbent than polyurethane. That should translate over a pretty plush ride. Comparable to putting a memory foam topper on your saddle, it’ll be most interesting to those who prioritize squishiness over weight savings. Cromoly saddles with medium and thick levels of padding feature the added comfort of HLX+ Gel padding, which uses strategically placed gel inserts in areas where a rider’s sit bones contact the saddle.

WTB Fit Right System

Released alongside the updated saddles is WTB’s very own saddle fit tool, rightly named “Fit Right System”. WTB describes the process as the “most accurate and non-intrusive method available” for finding the right saddle. In short, the system uses the correlation between your wrist measurement, riding position, and body shape to recommend an ideal saddle width and padding thickness. You can access the tool via your cell phone or laptop online at WTB.com/pages/fitright.
