Filmmaker Mick Turnbull has been featured many times here on the site. He’s ridden and created films from bikepacking trips in Australia, Tasmania, Utah, Nepal, Peru, and elsewhere. One of his latest was from a trip scouting a new 985-kilometer bikepacking route in Tasmania called the Tassie Traverse. Mick recently published a new video that gives a detailed look at the gear he’s been using on all of these trips, where he goes through everything he carries for expedition bikepacking and breaks down where and why he packs it all into his bags.
