For filmmaker Antoine Bussier, bikepacking is about far more than getting from A to B. Rather, it’s a powerful lens for human connection, introspection, beauty, and slowness. His latest video, Bikepacking Colors: Activate Your Superpowers, documents a pedal-powered trip between the Netherlands and France and explores the social power of bikepacking.
Making their way 1,000 kilometers along Flemish canals, through the Vosges Mountains, across the Ardennes and Palatine forests, and up and down Germany’s endless hills, Antoine and his partner Hélène ride to open up—to the world and themselves. They chat with strangers, receive unexpected gifts, find spontaneous shelter, and share smiles despite language barriers.
More than anything, Bikepacking Colors is an invitation to ride, whether you’re a seasoned bicycle traveler or just getting started. No matter how small or grand your adventure is, the video is a reminder of the connection and possibility that awaits if you simply get started.
